In 2012 the programme of the Isaiah Berlin Day in Riga included expert discussion about demographic situation in the Baltic states, BBC documentary about the early life and times of Isaiah Berlin „The Making of A Hedgehog”. The central part of the event was the Isaiah Berlin Memorial Lecture delivered by author, academic, broadcaster and Isaiah Berlin’s biographer Michael Igantieff and entitled „Isaiah Berlin, the Soviet Empire and the Captive States”.
